About Ordavia
Ordavia Healthcare Solutions was founded to solve a problem that most healthcare organizations already know they have — the gap between clinical strategy and operational execution. We help close it.
Our story
Hospitals, health systems, medical groups, and value-based care organizations routinely invest in strategic plans, quality initiatives, and cost-reduction programs. They build dashboards, hire consultants, and set targets. Yet the same performance gaps persist — not because leadership lacks vision, but because translating strategy into daily clinical and operational behavior is one of the hardest things in healthcare.
Ordavia Healthcare Solutions was created to sit in that gap. Founded by a practicing physician executive with deep experience in clinical care, population health, physician leadership, and hospital operations, Ordavia brings a practical, credible, and results-oriented approach to healthcare performance improvement. We work where strategy meets execution — at the level of physician behavior, clinical workflows, operational accountability, and measurable outcomes.
Our work is grounded in real-world healthcare leadership. We understand that sustainable improvement requires more than recommendations. It requires trust, clinical credibility, operational discipline, financial awareness, and the ability to bring physicians and executives together around a shared purpose. That is what Ordavia delivers.
We understand that sustainable improvement requires more than recommendations. It requires trust, clinical credibility, and the ability to bring physicians and executives together around a common purpose.
Our MISSION
We help healthcare organizations align physicians, operations, and leadership around practical solutions that improve quality, reduce avoidable costs, and strengthen overall healthcare performance.
Our Vision
Ordavia envisions a healthcare environment where clinical leaders and administrative teams work together with clarity, trust, and measurable purpose — improving outcomes for patients and strengthening physician engagement.
Why Ordavia is different
The combination of frontline clinical practice, physician executive leadership, and formal training in both business and population health is rare. Dr. Leazzo brings all three — which means Ordavia can operate credibly in every room: with physicians, with C-suite leaders, with payers, and with boards.
Clinical credibility — still in active practice, with 25+ years treating patients and leading clinical teams
Executive experience — former Chief Medical Officer and Medical Director reporting to CEOs and Boards
Physician trust — the ability to engage physicians without sounding purely administrative or financially driven
Operational translation — from strategy to dashboards, governance, KPIs, workflows, and accountability
Value-based care depth — real experience managing ACOs, risk contracts, Medicare Advantage, and population health
Nimble model — fractional executive, strategic partner, or project-based advisor depending on organizational need
Results that speak for themselves
Patient spend identified & targeted in ACO
CMS STAR rating improvement
Payer underpayments recovered
ED utilization reduction in 6 months
Provider engagement score achieved
Deficiencies in 2026 ACHC accreditation

About the founder
Dr. Anthony "Tony" Leazzo is a physician executive with more than 25 years of experience spanning frontline clinical practice, population health strategy, physician leadership, and hospital operations. He has served as Chief Medical Officer, Medical Director, advisory board member, and practicing family physician — giving him a perspective that is simultaneously clinical, operational, and strategic.
What sets Dr. Leazzo apart is his ability to operate credibly in rooms that rarely talk to each other. Physicians trust him because he still sees patients. Executives trust him because he has managed large medical staffs, reported to CEOs and Boards, and driven measurable financial and quality performance. That dual credibility is the foundation of everything Ordavia does.
His career includes seven years as Medical Director at Northwestern Medicine — one of the nation's leading integrated health systems — where he led value-based contract strategy, improved HEDIS and CMS STAR performance, and reduced avoidable ED utilization by 10% within six months. Most recently, as Vice President and Chief Medical Officer at Morris Hospital, he identified $54 million in ACO patient spend for targeted interventions, drove a CMS STAR rating from 3 to 4 stars, achieved a 78% provider engagement score, and led the medical staff through a zero-deficiency ACHC accreditation survey.
Dr. Leazzo holds a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management, and a Master of Applied Science in Population Health Management from Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health. He completed a Sports Medicine fellowship at Michigan State University and served as a Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy, where he was Officer in Charge of a Battalion Aid Station responsible for the medical readiness of more than 1,000 Marines and Sailors.
Through Ordavia Healthcare Solutions, Dr. Leazzo partners with hospitals, health systems, medical groups, and value-based care organizations that need experienced physician-executive guidance to address complex clinical, operational, and financial challenges. His goal is straightforward: to help healthcare leaders build systems in which strategy becomes action, physicians are meaningfully aligned, and performance improvement is both measurable and sustainable.
